Tired of Tanker Wash companies that can only clean already clean tankers? Come get it done right the first time at the only cleaning, inspection, and repair facility under one roof.
All repairs on cargo tankers must be performed under the rigorous standards of the R-Stamp. WT&T is the only company in the Eastern Carolinas with this in-house capability.
We don't only work on tankers. Wilmington Tank can also perform welding and fabrication in stainless, carbon steel, or aluminum.
WHO WE ARE
Wilmington Tank and Trailer was started as Quality Welding and Tank Company in 1996 by W. Marrow Smith to service the North and South Carolina tanker industry. With a National Board issued R-Stamp that enables certified welding repairs for tankers, Wilmington Tank grew to provide the annual and semi-annual inspections, parts, and service that cargo tankers rely on to stay in operation.
In March of 2021, W. W. (Billy) Murrell III purchased Wilmington Tank and Trailer to carry the torch for inspection and repairs for the next generation of tanker fleet operators. We still provide the same quality service our reputation was built on, but with an increased focus on efficiency and turn-around time. And with our new tanker wash facility, we are the only facility on the Carolina coast providing a one-stop solution for tanker washing, inspection, and repair under one roof.
CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS
I have been a customer for years and have always appreciated a local option for inspection and repairs. And now that they've added an in-house tanker wash, my tankers spend more time rolling instead of sitting at the wash or the shop.
-Trans. Mgr, Environmental Company (NC)
I don't want to spend the time and money sending tankers back and forth to Charlotte or Spartanburg for repairs and inspections, and I definitely don't appreciate multiple trips to the wash out facility only to find out they didn't clean it well enough the first time. That's where Wilmington Tank has really helped us keep moving.
